About the author

Karissa is a California Native. She grew up between sunny San Diego and the Santa Ynez Chumash Reservation. She created Netflix Animation’s preschool series, Spirit Rangers which was inspired by her childhood adventures in National Parks and bedtime stories of when the animals were people. She’s written for preschool favorites such as Disney Junior’s Vampirina, Doc McStuffins, T.O.T.S and The Chicken Squad. She resides in Los Angeles with her chiweenie, Luna.
