Aurora Hillcrest tried to help him a year ago as a matchmaker, but he just wasn't ready. Drew renews his acquaintance with Aurora and realizes right away he's found his new wife, Aurora.She doesn't believe Drew is over his first wife and doesn't trust his attention. Passion has a way of changing their minds and they begin an affair. Drew asks Aurora multiple times to marry him, but she continues to say no. If he can't have her as his wife, he will have her as his mistress. This couple has so much pain from family, self-sacrifice, and fear. I could barely wait to read the epilogue for a happy ending. I have all the feels for this book. I laughed and felt sad was hopeful and upset but above all I could feel the love. Aurora is certain that she can never get married and that she will never be loved. Drew lost his first love and son in childbirth and has vowed that he will not be able to love another. The interactions between these two are entertaining and heartbreaking. I truly loved reading this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Drew knows he needs to marry again and have a son, but the only woman he is interested in is his matchmaker Aurora. I wanted to shake her for offering herself up as mistress to him when he would have given her his heart, his name, and anything her heart desires. Aurora keeps punishing herself for circumstances beyond her control and she lets her pride put her in precarious positions. Thankfully despite burning bridges they still have the support of her cousins and his friend.
