Loved this one! Insta connection turned into semi instant love isn't everyone's cup of tea but I think the author did a great job of showing the depth behind the insta ness some people don't like. Mason is a man who is trying to help his sister and her family with debt they have and resorts to a lucrative escorts business a friend tells him about and with his premature grey and being in his early 40s is instantly slapped with the silver daddy label which is the complete opposite of his nature but for his family he'll do what he has to. But when he becomes the obsession of a past client things get dicey. Jasper bursts into Mason's life when he's in a bad spot and right away it's like both men can feel a connection to the other and see to the real them. Jasper is younger and seen as more of a submissive when that's also not his nature. Together both men find in each other what they've always felt to be missing. Love and acceptance for who they are. Which makes a beautiful story

Mason made the mistake of allowing one individual's perspective of his physic to label him as a certain type of personality. He felt he had no choice but to continue in that role, causing him emotional and mental distress. After being attacked, Jasper comes to the rescue and chases off the assailant. This starts a tale of two men, both perceived as one personality, but actually being the complete opposite. Two people who complete the other when courage to reveal their true selves allows them to. I think this book will remain with me for a long time, reminding me not to look at my surroundings and people just on the surface, but to look a little deeper when words and actions don't align. Thank you to Lynn Burke for sharing not just a book of entertainment and fun, but one that can stimulate the mind and point out areas where we can play a role in supporting others. One Night has all the best things I love about Lynn’s writing wrapped up into a lovely gay romance with a suspense subplot. I absolutely adore Daddy-looking bottoms and femme tops. Then Lynn went and added one of my biggest weaknesses in the world: dirty talk. The spicy scenes are smoking hot. Mason and Jasper (our MMCs) are just so easy to love. This was a great book to start off this spin-off series with. I’m looking forward to the next!
