I enjoy reading Silas and Lola's bickering through 50% of the book even if I am familiar with all those scenes from the previous books. I am envious of their friendships and you can't deny that they have a chemistry even when they have been best friends to each other. But Lola finally wants more and Silas still closes everyone off. The later half is full of tension because Lola decides to try to move on... with Silas's enemy and it breaks him. I want to hate Silas because he keeps his secret from his friends when he should open to them and let them help him. I want to hate Lola for wanting more. I want to hate Trent for causing problems to Lola and Silas's relationship. My emotion is the mess but at the same time, I understand them all... I still want to smack Trent's head though but his action finally makes Silas see some senses so he is forgiven. The author writes the conclusion of their friendships so well and I am happy for them.

Took my heart out with a one-two punch Silas, a bartender, has spent most of his night working and listening to Lola, a sales rep for a liquor distributor, tell her friends about some of the things she has done to get revenge on her exes. As the story progresses he falls flat when he make a pass, they decide a friendship will last, and the only way forward for them may be to overcome the past. Charity Ferrell took my heart out with a one-two punch in Last Round. This close group of friends have been through the wringer from the very beginning and only come full circle in this book.

Book 5 and the final book in the Twisted Fox series and it was the perfect way to end the series. We finally got Silas and Lola’s story and what a story it was. They first met when he hit on her when she was at the bar he bartends at. Their relationship didn’t start off good since she gave him the wrong number. When they meet again at a barbeque, they decide that they are better off as friends. Fast forward two years and their feelings towards each other have always been just under the surface but they never acted on them. That is until Lola starts talking to someone from Silas’s past. The feelings that they have been trying to fight are about to win. Loved this read. Highly recommend this and the entire series. I will be re-reading it again very soon 😊
