You Had Your Chance, Lee Burrows by Piper Rayne is a second chance sports romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Joe Arden and Callie Dalton. This is the first book in the Kingmen Football Stars series. This is the second book of Piper's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Lee and Shayna. It was messy, but I couldn't help but root for them. I loved that we got both of their points of views throughout the book.

4/5 ⭐️ 2/5 🌶️ I loved reading the story of Shayna and Lee. Lee is a quarterback and Shayna is an athletic trainer for the team. They knew each other back in high college and they had a big falling out when Lee hurt shayna. Years later she is hired onto his team to be a physical trainer and Lee is determined to win her back. I love how strong Shayna is. She didn’t forgive him easily and she made him work for her forgiveness. I also really liked Lees genuine character and the fact that he kn

I liked this book but it had one major issues that drove me nuts. It is where the female lead is a medical professional who crosses all ethical lines because of love. If Shayna had been a non-medical member of the San Francisco Kingsmen, I would have raved about this book. I loved the backstory, told, and the redemption of Lee in this book. This is a very well written second chance romance, with a major flaw that keeps it from being a five star read for me. Overall, an enjoyable read.
