Drawn to a beautiful cover and a compelling plot, What We Never Say is an immersive, empowering and wonderful read. his book has memorable characters with distinct traits; their evolution is remarkable, heartfelt and uplifting. At times, I found the setting of the scenes a bit sudden, and I felt that I was supposed to have a pre-existing background of the characters as the book comes from the Love, Only Better world. Stout keeps the tension high while keeping the characters light. Once again tackling a complex and misunderstood social issue, she addresses the reality of workplace abuse with sensitivity, but lets the story create a momentum toward vindication. Satisfying read!
