What great story about how two different species meet, learn to trust each other and fall in love. It's the start of maybe making peace between their different species. It's interesting how it all works out. The extended epilogue is a nice finish.

A very suspenseful book. Kilani becomes a slayer. Her and Alrecs relationship is great. Just the right amount of heat. I really enjoyed this quick read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What an amazing prequel for an amazing series. I absolutely love Alrec and Kilani. They are just prefect for each other. The peek into Miranda's start as a kickass fighter and the fact we get to hear from her cousin and Latimus as well is an awesome bonus. As for the story itself, it is so endearing, and heartbreaking, and heartwarming, and HOT... The journey and growth we witness from both Alrec and Kilani is just humbling. The choices they are forced to make. The fact that they choose to remain true to themselves. A true warrior got her just reward in a true gentleman soldier. And vice-versa. The way he accepted her way of thinking and even encourages it is just so damn perfect. The banter between them is delicious, and the start of his healing process is hilarious. The simple fact that he doesn't take it against her because he gets to be close to her... (swoon) And DOG! Love him.... I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! I received a free ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
