LIPSTICK AND LIES AND DEADLY GOODBYES by Jodi Vaughn is such an amazing read that I fell in love with. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about vampires, fantasy, cozy mysteries and paranormal romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This vampire story is so different I doubt you've ever read anything like it before. Like my summary states, what does this have to do with vampires? Well if I told then you wouldn't have to read it and I don't do spoilers. Buttt I will tell you it has a rotten husband, a very shocked and unsuspecting wife, a teen that is being bullied, AND a very smelly stranger that shows up out of the blue during the worst moment of the wife's life. It's got upsetting times, surprising ones, funny and snarky, and has a vampire (the smelly individual) that just isn't very good at making one housewife a believer. I most assuredly recommend this book to everyone that loves a good read, and no you don't have to love vampire stories to love this book.

good pace to story. we'll balanced opposite story lines...keeps you intrigued to the end. Characters are well formed & will remind you of people you meet in real life....instead of flat boring people often in cosy mysteries that constantly repeat chunks of dialogue to pad out the story.
