The largest problem came when I found at least one scripture reference typo each week. Since I had a paper edition, I was able to pencil over those mistakes for the next time I read it. There were also many times where the companion took only one theological view of the interpretation of the text, for example the behemoth is only explained as a hippo (without mention of the popular interpretation as a Dinosaur or Whale). One instance of scripture states that God speaking through an Angel, the Commentary states that it is Jesus quit matter of factly, although I've seen other commentaries state that it could be Michal, Jesus, or another Angel. The One Year Bible companion is excellent at providing additional understanding on the daily scripture, with minimal hassle. Each day has only a single page, and I found that this text often answered questions that I struggled with while doing my daily reading, with the One Year Study Bible (NLT). The text often matches the One Year Study Bible, or the Life Application Study Bible. It's not a big surprise since they are all published by Tyndale, but it might not be the best for people who are looking for a different perspective, but already
