About this ebook

Every werewolf knows the meek won't inherit the earth.

Fen Young is a half-shifter whose inner beast is more mouse than wolf. Home is her castle, the only place she's ever felt safe.

Enter Hunter Green, an uber-alpha strong enough to stop traffic with a single look. He's handsome and enticing and seems like just the ticket to broaden Fen's horizons...until the uber-alpha brushes off his admirer and summarily rejects her from her home pack.

Now treading water in the no-man's land of outpack territory, Fen must confront a missing pack mate, a tantalizing stranger, and a serial killer targeting half-werewolves. Will she be able to shore up her waning power in time to save her friend...and half-breeds everywhere...before it's too late?

USA Today bestselling author Aimee Easterling's new urban fantasy novel is chock full of adventure, romance, and danger and is bound to leave readers craving more.

I liked Fen and was curious about her since she was first introduced to me in the Wolf Rampant series. So I was happy to learn she had her own story. This segment of Fen’s journey is an interesting one. Fen starts off as a character that is unsure of herself and her abilities. As her story progresses the reader gets little glimpses of how strong and intelligent Fen could be. One of the things I liked about Fen was her courage. I liked how even though she may have been filled with fear she stepped up and fought for those she loves and herself. I feel as Fen grows and comes more into her own that she might actually become quite an amazing kick butt character. This part of her journey ends with Fen making some difficult choices and preparing to face emotions she’s been holding deep inside. Maybe she might even find some answers. I look forward to finding out what the future has in store for Fen and seeing how her character develops. (3.5⭐️)

I read a lot, basically a book every two days or so. I love supernatural books. I am a huge fan of werewolves/ shifters. So I was very excited to find a new author that write books in this genre. You never know exactly what new lore you will get in the new world. I was pleasantly surprised ro see the lore in this world is similar to most, but unique enough to be new and interesting. There are twists and turns in the drama that unfolds with this merry band of wolves!! Strong characters, both male and female make for an exciting cast. You can help but love them. Aimee Easterling creates a world that you don't want to leave. I was totally engrossed in the trails and tribulations of this little misfit pack. If you enjoy mystery's, and love the supernatural genre, then definitely give this world a try. I promise you won't be disappointed!!!

Third and final segment of the "Wolf Rampant"series I was so excited after reading the new Alpha Underground Series Book-Half Wolf novel by Aimee Easterling, that I wrote this review. I received it for free in exchange for a review, but I love this genre, this writer and her characters. Another truly riveting story of an underdog coming of age. I usually read these books without interruption, but was unable to this time. I could not wait to get back to the story. What would the main character, Fen, do next? How would she solve the next big problem in her fledgling pack? How would she come to terms with her personal feelings versus her pack loyalties? You'll have to find out for yourself as you read the book.

About the author

Homesteader by day and werewolf…ahem, *teller of werewolf tales*…by night, Aimee Easterling is a USA Today Bestselling author writing on the boundary between urban fantasy and paranormal romance.

She heats her house with hand-split firewood, writes on an ultra-geeky Linux box, and generally does her best to confuse all reasonable assumptions.

Studying biology and spending a year backpacking around the world have both informed Aimee’s writing, but she’s quite willing to let reality slide in favor of a good story. You can learn more and download a free starter library at www.aimeeeasterling.com.
