Just over 200 pages but very little story line with was mostly only lots of naughty thoughts and lack of/involved actions upon the thoughts. I would have liked more of a secondary plot which would have kept me more attached to the novel.

This brilliant instalment of the Covent Garden Cubs, is one of the most solid stories Shana Galen has ever written. Ms. Galen’s famous wit and sexiness prevail throughout but this time, the author has elected to give us a better look at how class differences rules Regency England. Lady Lillian-Anne Lennox – Lila – was such a snob, that she had few friends, and several enemies. She is kidnapped by someone who knows who she is, she escapes but gets herself in even more trouble. Unfortunately for her, the only man who can keep her safe is one whom she had spurned several years before: Sir Brook Derring, an investigator hired by her father. Lila and Brooke don’t get along particularly well, in spite of being attracted to each other, mostly because of Lila’s prejudices. Will she ever learn? Shana Galen is at her very best in I KISSED A ROGUE! Lila and Brooke are fabulous, very complex characters; the class differences between them are, at times, startling, yet totally believable. Lila could have been hard to like, she is quite haughty, but Ms. Galen made her come off clearly as a product of her class; her behaviour did was not a product of a cold heart. There is even more action in I KISSED A ROGUE, if memory serves, than in the other books from this series. I was taken in from the first sentence, we jump right into the action and it just about never lets up, apart from a sweet and spicy interlude in the middle; there are plot twists galore, surprises good and bad, and many secrets and mysteries. I loved how characters from the previous books make brief but important appearances. If hadn’t already been a fan of Shana Galen’s before I KISSED A ROGUE, I would be now! Just super! I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
