Ratings and reviews

This is the second book in this series and like the first, the character development is strong. The lead is a likeable young woman and you easily find yourself cheering for her. This book picks up seamlessly from where the first book left off, so I really think it is ideal to read them in order. While some of the challenges are a bit far fetched, it was still a quick fun book to enjoy. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

With an expected cliffhanger ending, this second installment is very suspenseful throughout. I’m quite curious to see where the next book ends up. A lot of the outcome so far, however, has been quite predictable. The story is very easy to follow and get swept away in with the characters. I am in the United States, so some of the slang words used in the story took me a little time to process what it was meaning since it is different here. Otherwise it was a seamless read. Having enjoyed reading Emotionally Charged I was excited to read the next installment of Selina Fenech's Empath series and see where Olivia's story would go. I was not disappointed. Emotionally Unstable continues right from the end of the first book and it was it was nice to see the characters develop more and learn more about them. You see Livvy and Dean's relationship develop and grow as they adjust to life after all they endured in the first book. What I liked most is that you learn more about Empaths and the powers Livvy has. But the way Selina Fenech writes it is what I love most, as you learn along with Livvy, you discover all this new information as she does and that really makes her a character you can connect with, as you're going through this experience with her and learning as she does. I can't wait to see how Livvy's story continues in the third installment of the series in Emotionally Powerful. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout
