Богданов А. А. - врач, экономист, философ, политический деятель, учёный-естествоиспытатель. В 1908 г. Богданов опубликовал утопию о Марсе «Красная звезда», в 1911 г. «Инженер Мэнни». В статье «Философия современного естествоиспытателя» (1909 г.), А. А. Богданов ввел в оборот термин «техническая интеллигенция». Предложил идею создания новой науки — тектологии, предвосхитил некоторые положения кибернетики. С 1926 — организатор и директор первого в мире Института переливания крови; погиб, производя на себе опыт.
