Every time I head back to the Wicked Horse, I know that it's going to be a deliciously sexy experience. Benjamin and Elena's story was no different, though it did have more serious undertones than some of the previous books in this series. Even though it's book 6, Wicked Angel can definitely be enjoyed as a standalone. When we first meet Benjamin and Elena, they are both resistant to open their hearts to love thanks to past hurt and experiences. Benjamin especially struggles to cope with the loss he has endured. What starts out as a sex only relationship quickly develops into more, as they both help each other heal and move forward. They complemented each other well and their chemistry was amazing! Have a fire extinguisher handy, because your kindle is going to go up in flames! LOL There isn't a ton of drama, but I did find Benjamin's actions frustrating at times. Elena was almost too understanding and forgiving to the hot and cold behavior, but I did like that she didn't shy away from confronting the hard topics. A bonus of this book, was being able to check in with Jorie and Walsh (from Wicked Wish) and seeing how their relationship has progressed. It's always fun to revisit old characters. There was a little more talk about God and church in Wicked Angel than I needed, but this may not bother other readers. Overall, this was a sexy read that fans of the series are sure to enjoy! 3.5-4 stars *I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*

What a wicked ride! A heartbreaking storyline filled with hope and combustible chemistry. Everything happens for a reason is a definite theme to this story and will have you rooting for Benjamin and Elena through their journey. A great addition to this wickedly hot series. Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh’s narration is fantastic and brought life to this storyline. I highly recommend this book/audiobook.

This book has it all - wonderful characters, a good storyline, and lots of steam. Benjamin is a neurosurgeon who suffered a great tragedy that has left him with both emotional and physical wounds. He has completely shutdown and isolated himself in his grief. Elena had given up on relationships and finds herself at the Wicked Horse club. With them both wanting to avoid romantic relationships and only focus on fulfilling their fantasies, it seems that the two are the perfect match. However, what happens when you go into a no-strings-attached relationship and end up finding love instead? I really liked Elena. She was so caring and understanding. She wasn’t easily putt off by Benjamin’s gruff exterior and she was someone who knew what she wanted inside the bedroom. My heart broke for Benjamin. He had endured so much and it was obvious that he was battling some heavy demons. The hotness factor between the two of them was off the charts. I seriously thought that my kindle was going to melt with some of those scenes! I really enjoyed watching their relationship evolve into something deeper and more meaningful. While this book is a part of the Wicked Horse Vegas series, Wicked Angel can be read as a standalone. I have not read all of the previous books and I had no trouble following along. Because I enjoyed this book so much, I definitely plan to go back and read the rest of the series. Overall, I really enjoyed Wicked Angel - the characters were likable and well developed; the plot was good and moved at a good pace; and the sizzling chemistry between the couple was palpable. I’ve read an early copy of this book and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
