My name is Wilkenson Francois. My previous marriage had afforded me the opportunity, as a father, to love and cherish two beautiful daughters, Genevieve (aged 8) and Esme (aged 6).
I emigrated from Haiti to Brooklyn, New York at age twelve. I attended my middle school at P.S. 398, The Walter Weaver Elementary School, and my high school at Samuel J. Tilden High School.
I made my way into college and graduated with an associate’s degree in Electromechanical Engineering Technology (EMT) from New York City College of Technology (City Tech), as well as a bachelor’s degree in Information Science and Technology (IS&T) from Temple University.
I am an immigrant, former documented alien, Haitian, and now a naturalized American citizen — U.S. Army Reserves, and a retired veteran. Ever since this unexplainable desire in me to pursue my education emerged, I got sucked into the world of cutting-edge technologies and have been associated with IT for some time. I continue to love the field even today, as I’m currently self-employed and running my own startup, called Lessimp, a dating platform.
It’s my odyssey from a military man to an engineer to a matchmaker. I love to sleep, do karaoke, and sleep. I cannot stress enough the importance of sleep in my life as I am too busy chasing my dreams, especially now that you’re reading my memoir.
In my fake heiress, Anna Sorokin, aka Anna Delvey’s voice, “This whole story is completely true, except for all the parts that are totally made up.” On a serious note, I enjoy riding my mini Jetson electric bike on the streets of the Williamsburg neighborhoods of Brooklyn, where I grew up. I currently reside in New York. Don’t be surprised if you find me in any of the local bars in Brooklyn — you may even find yourself getting a beer on my tab.
