Sully has recently arrived in Blessings after retiring from the fire department and going on a personal search for his birth mother. He’d only discovered he’d been adopted as he was clearing out papers after the woman he thought to be his mother died, and the search has led him to Blessings. But, not everything is as simple as people knowing who he’s searching for, or even what. But an accident outside of town spurred his firefighter’s instinct, and he rescued a woman from the wreckage while waiting for more help. Melissa never forgot her first love as a teen, and soon he’s there in front of her. The man whose heart she broke years ago – and they’ve got a chance to start over. He’s new in town, never been committed to anything with any real conviction BUT his career, and she’s also single. The sparks were evident from the very first moment they reconnected, even as the circumstances turned tragic. And now, for some reason they aren’t able to stay away from one another. Sala’s storytelling is sweet, heartfelt and warm. Leaving readers with yet another Blessings story where we meet new people, catch up with some regulars, and find that charm that seems to radiate from this small southern town. Easily read as a stand alone title, you’ll not miss anything by picking up this one – but you will need to grab the earlier books in the series to keep the ‘good feelings’. And good they are – these are stories that are meant to curl around your shoulders like a warm blanket, allowing you to escape for a low stress visit to somewhere else, with people that will soon become your friends. I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Can't really get into it. This book was recommended by my book group. I am on chapter four and am struggling to continue. This writers style of writing just isn't keeping my interest but others might feel differently. I will give it a few more chapters but may just end up walking away from it.

Sala gives hearts the full package. From emotional angst to heartbreaking loss, The Way Back to You gives feelings quite a workout. What begins as his story because their journey. Sully is on the move. Searching for answers and reaquainting himself with his past. Melissa is working her way back from an almost tragedy. When the boy that broke her heart, reveals himself to be the man that saves her life, could a second chance be on the horizon? Blessings, Georgia, is my all time favorite Sharon Sala series, because there resides a bit of every heart inside of each character that she writes. From captivating to relatable, Sala has dreamed up the perfect place to misplace your heart and fall in love.
