As a long time Dickey fan and fellow writer, I finally found the time to read this much awaited novel and it did not disappoint. Gideon is truly a perplexing and intricate character. Dickey's genius and talent never ceases to amaze me.

The ending seemed rushed and the Gideon series has always been so vivid with detailing where you can literally see the action by the way that he describes things. I wish it was longer and more drawn out.

Eric Jerome Dickey (1961–2021) was the award-winning and New York Times bestselling author of twenty-nine novels, as well as a six-issue miniseries of graphic novels featuring Storm (X-Men) and the Black Panther.
