About this ebook

She plays it safe. He’s a loner. When they both deny their instant chemistry, will this city girl and bush pilot realize they’re meant to be?

California. Elle Blessing has painted herself into a corner. Desperate to maintain her veneer of success, the twenty-something influencer feels trapped in her miserable job and mostly platonic relationship. And when she reluctantly joins her fiancé on a trip to Alaska, she can’t decide if their hunky guide is annoyingly grumpy or drop-dead gorgeous.

Maverick "Mac" Carter believes he’s destined to die single. So after picking up a couple heading to his sister’s lodge, he’s surprised when his stomach does a flip flop at the sight of the blue-eyed cutie accompanying her betrothed. But with her already engaged, he’s almost relieved to discover she’s utterly exasperating.

Horrified when her intended runs off to be one with nature, Elle demands the rugged but maddening man make things right. While Mac is aghast to learn the feisty female won’t leave his home until he finds and fixes her nutty boyfriend.

As proximity leads to a softening of hearts, will these unexpected soulmates find true love?

I was given a copy of this book to review from the Author. A Darling Aviator by Lark Holiday Book Review. The characters in this book are so well written. The Character Mac has so much depth and we really see a lot of development in his character as the story progresses. Afraid to admit to themselves and each other that they like each other. The way that the characters pretend to hate each other is comical. Image is a key theme in this book and how it can influence decisions and happiness. The descriptions in this book make you feel like you are there. You can picture the outside of the Lodge view from inside as if you were sat there cosied up with a warm cup of Coffee. What is the problem that occurs at the Salmonberry Lodge? This cliffhanger kept me worried. Some chapters end in cliffhangers that provide tension. There's this one scene where my skin stood up because I didn't really know what was going on. That scene is one of the most powerful in the whole book.
