Syed Manzoor ul Hasan was born on April 20, 1965 in Bahawalnagar, a city in South Punjab (Pakistan). His father Syed Muhammad Hasan Shah Tirmidhi was the priest of the local monastery of the Qadiriya branch of Sufism. He passed Matriculation from Government City High School Bahawalnagar and BA from Government College Bahawalnagar. Later he obtained MA in Political Science from Punjab University Lahore and MA in Islamic Studies from Islamia University Bahawalpur. He also completed his M.Phil from the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies of GC University, Lahore. He received the basic education of literature, science and Islam from the learned scholar and high-ranking teacher of his city, Sir Muhammad Nazar. His training led to the access to the educational institution of great Islamic scholar and researcher Mr. Javed Ahmad Ghamdi. He has been under the tutelage of Javed Ahmad Ghamidi since 1990. Among the teachers from whom he learned, the most prominent name is Dr. Khurshid Rizvi, a genius of Urdu and Arabic language and literature. Apart from them, he also got the opportunity of learning from Dr. Syed Sultan Shah, Mr. Muhammad Rafi Mufti, Prof. Khurshid Alam and Prof. Muhammad Zafar Adil also got the. He is a fellow of the Institute of Islamic Science and Research "Al-Mawrid" and participates in various projects of authoring and compilation and teaching. He is also performing the duties of the editor of the monthly "Ishraq" Lahore.
