I was forced to read this book for a geometry class. this book was hard to follow and understand. i would not recomend reading this for fun, but it help me with understanding objects positioned in "space". if you are taking a geometry class, thus might help with spacial recignition as well. if you are looking foor your next good read, find a differnt book other than this.

Penned at the hand of a 19th Century theologian FlatLand holds appeal for the atheist and the believer, framing the questions of the existence of a supreme being within a social commentary of alternate dimensional characters. the writing is brief but highly dense. I'd recommend anyone read this.

This was an overall good book with many new words which I did not know before I read this book. Anyway, I think too much attention is placed on the obvious: the revelation and realization of higher dimensions. But it seems like the point was to be open minded and not be conceded. In flatland there is a class and sexism problem. The sphere at one point alludes to this. Even after the square was humbled by the sphere, the square still saw the woman as a lesser and did not bother to try and explain space...
