Years ago, I borrowed this book from my son, who had borrowed it himself from a co-worker. He knew I'd read it much faster than he would, so said to just let him know once I was done if it was as good as his friend said it was, or if he shouldn't bother. Two days later, I let him know that if anything, his friend had undersold how incredibly great this book is, and began to bug him about bugging his friend to see if he had any more of the next books in the series, and if so, then, can we borrow the next one(s), at least once we return the first, please? I ended up ordering the next 2, which were all that there was at that time, reading so quick as if my life depended on it, barely remembering to blink at times! 🤣 From then on, I remember to check him out on here ever so often, to see if he's coming out with something else that grabs me again, the way he did with this book. I love this book, this series, intensely, and have read them all repeatedly! Recommending 💯❤️

Its 3:27 AM i will go to sleep soon. But first this book is amazing. the concept of using color to perform a certain types of "magic" is so new and refreshing to me. id recommend yall reading the book. what harm could it do

Quite the page turner. Brent Weeks had me guessing and re-reading pages throughout this novel's entirety. If you haven't yet read any of this author's work, this is a good place to start. I for one will definitely be picking up the next book in this series.
