About this ebook

Grace Henry needs a reboot. Laid off and unable to find a new job in her native NYC, Grace heads West to Wishing, Texas to run her best friend’s bed and breakfast. But before she hits the city limits, to her luck, Grace rear ends the chief of police’s truck. As the mouth watering western dream peels off his shirt to clean her cut, she reminds herself what cops are like—cynical, inflexible, curious and controlling. Her NYPD father taught her that fact.

FBI agent AJ Quinn is undercover in Wishing to catch a forger. Though his best friend lives in Wishing and he always longed to buy land there, Wishing is an annoying detour from his purpose, working major cases and fulfilling the vow to his father to make a difference in the world. But when Grace crashes into his life, AJ suddenly finds himself questioning his direction and determination to remain single.

Though Grace and AJ insist they don’t want a relationship and are wrong on too many levels to count, when the head says no, the heart says yes…..

This was a very sweet story. Grace is trying to get a fresh start, and decides to help her friend out in Wishing, TX before Cassie's wedding. Then she runs into AJ, the best man at the wedding and the police chief of Wishing. Then things get interesting. I loved the characters and the town people. AJ and Grace were both great characters, with some baggage but big hearts. I loved watching them grow closer during their time together. I really enjoyed the ending as well. Just a lovely, romantic story.

Loved it!! This is the second in the Wishing TX series and it's excellent, has me looking forward to the next one. This one can easily be read standalone. The characters are fantastic and the writing is great. Has me wanting to move to the small town. Running into the rear end of the chief of police's car probably isn't the best way to announce her arrival in Wishing but that's exactly what Grace Henry does! And what a nice looking male specimen he is. Too bad he's a cop. Grace's one relationship rule - no cops! AJ Quinn is acting as temporary chief of police in Wishing while secretly working on an undercover investigation for the FBI. As soon as he can wrap up his investigation he's back in Houston working larger more meaningful cases. So that means he has no time to start something with the pretty newcomer. Too bad, really! A great read that I highly recommend.

“To Catch A Texas Cowboy” by Julie Benson is book two in the Wishing, Texas series. This book can be read as a standalone. This is Grace Henry and AJ Quinn’s story. Grace has had some personal and professional struggles she is dealing with and needs to get away. Her friend Cassie offers her the job to run her bed and breakfast in Wishing, Texas. AJ Quinn is undercover working as the Chief of Police in Wishing, Texas. His friends live there, but they do not know why he is really there. Grace decides to take the bed and breakfast job. She doesn’t make the best impression on AJ when she literally crashes into him. Their encounter was pretty funny. This is a really sweet romance between two people that are dealing with their own struggles and secrets. The chemistry and tension is intense between them. Will they take a risk on love? The story had a lot of depth to it. The characters and storyline flow really well. From the beginning to the end the author had my attention. Wishing, Texas sounds like a great community to live in. The people are great too. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I lived in Texas for over twenty years and I miss it. The scenery descriptions remind me so much of Texas. I felt like I got to visit. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review.
