About this ebook

It is a glorious time.

Chivalry is very much alive, forests are full of wild magic, unicorns lead folk to their destiny, and there’s a missing heir to be found. But the forces of the Old World are restless, and planning mayhem for the New World of mortals.

In the ancient forest of Leaverness, Lien seeks only mischievous fun — but finds himself plagued by nightmares with a dangerous twist.

In a rural village, Cira dreams of becoming a knight in the city of Avenel and restoring the lost heir to his throne — despite being a servant and, worse, female.

The unicorn Aethon brings them together for an adventure that throws literal night-mares, cursed creatures, gallant knights, bar room brawls, primal spirits, haunted estates and all kinds of dream magic into their path.

Saddle up for a dramatic and joyful ride full of colourful characters and unpredictable turns.

The Darkness Dreaming is a cosy high fantasy novel that is perfect for an exciting, upbeat escape from the real world. Content appropriate for all ages.

About the author

Adele Andersen was born in Adelaide, South Australia. Concerned that she was never going to leave home, her parents left her on a horse yard in the UK with an open return ticket after an overseas wedding. This was ostensibly a “character building” exercise, and one which definitely worked…but turned out rather more permanent than her poor parents expected.

Adele has a fitness bootcamp in West London and teaches fitness online. After many years in London flats she has escaped to Berkshire to an actual house with a garden, garage and no parking restrictions (bliss).

She would be a crazy cat lady except that she’s married to singer Rasmus Bom Andersen, who is even louder than she is (and that’s really saying something).

The Darkness Dreaming is her first novel and took twenty seven years to complete. She’s hoping the next books will be finished significantly faster.
