About this ebook

From #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Sanderson, a special gift edition of Edgedancer, a short novel of the Stormlight Archive (previously published in Arcanum Unbounded).

Three years ago, Lift asked a goddess to stop her from growing older--a wish she believed was granted. Now, in Edgedancer, the barely teenage nascent Knight Radiant finds that time stands still for no one. Although the young Azish emperor granted her safe haven from an executioner she knows only as Darkness, court life is suffocating the free-spirited Lift, who can't help heading to Yeddaw when she hears the relentless Darkness is there hunting people like her with budding powers. The downtrodden in Yeddaw have no champion, and Lift knows she must seize this awesome responsibility.

Still a good read, but felt like it was missing something. It fills in some blanks from main story, but just didn't hit home with me. A lot of words without saying enough maybe. If you read the Stormlight saga then it's an essential read.

Loved it. The story appears simple and silly at first and has a lot of charm that pulls you through. It's not until the end that you realize how important it is to the Stormlight story and how cleverly the clues to the plot and the character are hidden in plain sight. Lift is fun and engaging and I can't wait to see her show up again in Stormlight proper.

I love the Stormlight Archive, but this is my first time getting one in e-book form. No DRM, already 5 stars. Edit: Worth noting that the prologue is the same as the intermission where Lift is introduced, and the book ends on an excerpt from Oathbringer. So roughly 151 pages are actually the new story about Lift.
