About this ebook

We’ve finally made contact beyond Earth. Unfortunately, they’re not sending a welcome party…

Physicist Lucas Ramsay hoped to usher in a new technological age. However, instead of advancing science, his anti-gravity reactor triggers all-out anarchy… but the deadliest aftershock will come from beyond the stars. Across time and space, Lucas’ ground-breaking experiment throws an intergalactic realm into chaos. A sadistic race from deep space considers it an act of war and won’t rest until it annihilates every last one of its newfound enemy.

With Earth facing mass extermination, Lucas must help find a way to stop an onslaught so advanced it defies human understanding of physics and reality. Nothing is as it appears to be, challenging everyone’s faith in science and each other.

Linkage is the first book in a gripping saga of apocalyptic sci-fi novels. If you like non-stop pulp fiction action, intergalactic invasions, and unexpected twists and turns, then you’ll love Jay J. Falconer’s interstellar thriller.

The book was barely tolerable to read. Too much writing about mundane and uninteresting things like the character's routine when waking up. This is a slow read, and written as a screenplay, as if the author badly wants to turn this into a movie. None of the character's are relatable and many times annoying. One minute the lead character is a scientist and the next he's kicking in doors and firing weapons like a marine, then immediately he's behaving like an adolescent. There is so much more to say....

Not sure what age group this is aimed at but it flipflops from teen angst to alien gore fest. The nerdy skinny cant-do-a-single-pullup lead becomes Rambo by the end in an unlikely final shoot out? The story line requires a large measure of suspension of disbelief. Any book you read largely with a look of puzzlement on your furrowed brow I probably a nah yeah nah. Don't think I care what happens next tbh.

Some new and interesting ideas but there's no proper character building, it has some of the most Gary Stu characters I've read in a long time. And it's just a long list of "this happened... then this happened... now this is happening" with no real human emotion or connection anywhere. It also gets really bogged down and reads more like a research report rather than a novel in many areas.
