As it happens with some series, I feel like DeLeon's third helping of Shaye Archer lost a bit of steam and bordered on convoluted. Shaye's memory begins to reveal itself with each new clue unraveling. It's that old adage; perhaps some things are best left alone. Will I read WICKED, the fourth book in the series. Of course. I enjoyed the first two books and don't necessarily subscribe to that one-bad-apple kind of thinking. Not bad, but think DeLeon has more to offer.

For some reason I always had a feeling that there was some involvement of the people closest to Shaye. This was a fantastic read! The book contains a few grammatical errors and at one point they got the doctors name wrong. Other than that, I could not put this book down. I was really sad that her grandfather ended the way he did.

I got the first book of this series as a free book and I was intrigued by the characters and the really great plot. I was compelled to buy the next two books because I wanted to know about Shaye's past and what happened to her. What I appreciate most about this author is that she wrapped up what happened to Shaye in book 2 and 3. Unlike other author's who could have dragged this out it was neatly wrapped up without too much outstanding. Good series that I will definitely keep reading and recommend if you like suspense mystery books.
