I love Andrew Clements. He, writes good books, just to put the point out right away. When I first looked at this book, it was a few years ago. It looked like a bad book. Like when I tried reading "A Week in the Woods." By Andrew Clements. I didn't like it. This book didn't look like a good book. So when I picked it up 2 days ago, I thought, "I might not finish this book." I finished it just now. I picked it up last Monday. That was 2 days! I read the in 2 days. I actually only started it yesterday night and I was hooked. I might only be in the 6th grade, but I wasted my entire time when I could be working on my homework, reading. I spend 4 hours of my life non-stop reading and finished this book by Andrew Clements.
The best part about the book is that it touches your feelings. Clements is really good at doing that. I reaches deep into thoughts and half of the story is not in the book, but it is in your mind. You are feeling what is happening, you are thinking about it. There is a part where a student gets in deep trouble. And in times like that, body tenses you know. It feels like you are in trouble too.
If you want a good book, and if you enjoy realistic fiction. The Laundry News is definitely one of the best books available.
