Ratings and reviews

This book is generally well written and aligned with my expectations from the Mageri, Seven and Black Arrowhead series. My biggest disappointment, and the reason for the 3-star rating, was how weak Raven was made, not physically nor magically, but in her abdication of agency. The entire plot could have been the same, just make her strong enough to walk away from the rejection rather than trying to mould herself to the expectations of some man. The story would have had the same outcomes, but the tone of her character would have been significantly different, and better.

Great series and another captivating book. A little bit of mystery, a little bit of sexual tension, and a lot of great characters with satire woven in. Love the characters and the story. This was one of my favorites of the series about the breed world. I hope there will be many more to come ,as they are hard to put down.

This was an absolutely amazing start to a new series. I have read all of Dannika Darks books, and have been reading her books since she put out the first book in the Mageri Series. I am hooked!
