About this ebook

In the first Chicago Aces romance from the bestselling author of the Heller Brothers Hockey series, a fun-loving free spirit tempts an uptight hockey star into opening himself up to love.

As the captain of the Chicago Aces, Marc Dupuis is all business. The apartment he shares with his teammate and best friend, Duncan, is a refuge from the pressures of fame. But when the sexiest woman he’s ever seen interrupts his early morning coffee wearing only a skimpy cami and matching panties, Marc can’t exactly say he minds. Their chemistry is off the charts. Unfortunately, this girl’s no random puck bunny. She’s Duncan’s little sister—and she’s moving in.

Lovey Armstrong could stare at Marc’s chiseled abs and listen to his French-Canadian accent all day. She just has no idea what’s going on inside his head: When he’s not charming her pants off, Marc makes a Zamboni machine seem warm and cuddly. Lovey knows the team’s bro code says no messing with sisters, but all these mixed messages are hard on a girl’s self-esteem—especially since she’s finally getting her new life together in Chicago. She decides he’s worth another shot . . . because if anyone can melt the ice around Marc’s heart, it’s Lovey.

Like seriously, I hate how lately in Romance novels s*c is so easy and cheap. Devoid of feelings and just sleezy. Like one night stands, multiple partners, strangers, endless train of boyfriends. Authors are turning this beautiful intimate emotional thing into an act of pure instincts and hormonal outbursts. I hate that. Like Lovey had known him less than 24 hours and she was already jumping his bones. In her brother’s house!!! Why?!!!

Review copy provided by publisher I've read a few books by Kelly Jamieson in the past and have always enjoyed her voice. I was super excited to read her new Chicago Aces hockey series. Major Misconduct was a great start to the Chicago Aces series. I really loved Marc Dupuis from the moment we met him and could feel the connection between him and Lovey immediately. Their chemistry was off the charts hot, and I loved watching them fall for one another. I really loved them as a couple, but hated they had to keep it a secret from Lovey's brother Duncan. I did however, love how Duncan caught them together and it did make me laugh out loud. I took a bit longer to really love Lovey's character. I didn't like that she was keeping secrets from her brother about her job hunt and her business ideas, but totally understood after she told him what she was doing. I loved Lovey's idea for her business and found it completely relevant for the social media world today. I will say I found Lovey to be a bit immature at times and really didn't like how she treated Marc when she got scared their relationship was moving too fast. She tends to run away and I loved Marc so much, I didn't want to see him get hurt. I did love that she always makes up for her mistakes in a big way though. I really enjoyed Major Misconduct and am already looking forward to more books in the Chicago Aces series from Kelly Jamieson.

An amazing start to a new series. It has a great group of characters that should provide us with fantastic stories in the future. In this one we have Lovey Armstrong. Duncan Armstrong is one of the pilot players and Lovey is his little sister. She's hilarious, free spirited, and determined. When she shows up on the Duncan's doorstep needing a place to stay he obviously can't turn her away. Having her staying there with him and his roommate probably isn't the best idea though. His roommate is team captain Marc Dupuis. Always the stoic serious one, Lovey is determined to get him to smile. After all he's big, strong, French, and hot as hell. There's an immediate attraction but since she's Duncan's little sister, totally off limits. Are maybe, what Duncan doesn't know won't hurt him...... Can't wait to read the next in this series! I highly recommend this one.
