About this ebook

The New York Times #1 best-selling series.

Like its predecessors, Library of Souls blends thrilling fantasy with never-before-published vintage photography to create a one-of-a-kind reading experience.

A boy with extraordinary powers. An army of deadly monsters. An epic battle for the future of peculiardom.

The adventure that began with Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and continued in Hollow City comes to a thrilling conclusion with Library of Souls. As the story opens, sixteen-year-old Jacob discovers a powerful new ability, and soon he’s diving through history to rescue his peculiar companions from a heavily guarded fortress. Accompanying Jacob on his journey are Emma Bloom, a girl with fire at her fingertips, and Addison MacHenry, a dog with a nose for sniffing out lost children.

They’ll travel from modern-day London to the labyrinthine alleys of Devil’s Acre, the most wretched slum in all of Victorian England. It’s a place where the fate of peculiar children everywhere will be decided once and for all.

This series is just plain weird. It feels like a mixture of an adult series and a toddler's story. I read the sample of this, and it didn't capture my attention at all. You can really tell that the author is putting in random characters into the story for the purpose of his "vintage" photographs, which is highly annoying. The talking dog was just.... Also, Jacob is an extremely unlikable, generic, lonely YA hero who doesn't make the story any more interesting.

I have enjoyed this series finishing all three within only 5 days. I enjoyed the long story and the thrilling adventure. I gave this one a three star because l felt the wrap up was really long and drawn out. I didn't think Jacob's strong character shown through at the end after all he had been through and I felt he regressed as a character. I felt a bit sad to see that happen. While happy the end wrapped up with a beautiful ribbon the ending drug a bit. I do like the series and would highly recommend it.
