Fantastic story, but one minor error nags at me: the enisted ranks of Master Gunnery Sergeant and Lance Corporal did not exist prior to the reorganization of 1958. The rank of Sgt Major as we know it today did not exist either. The SgtMaj was simply the senior Master Sgt of the command. More of a title than a rank.

I think Griffin has better style and creativity than Clancy. I can't put them down!
