I have a very hard time with this series because the characters, tho exceedingly shallow, I still liked. The world is extremely clichéd, but still some interesting things happened. it was just so hard to get through because it was so redundant. Over and over and over again, the same territory, the same soul searching, the same belly aching of the main character. It's maddening! I'm convinced the series could have been one book and probably would have been about 300 pages without all of the redundancy. unless you're 16, and you haven't read the many wonderful Authors in this genre, this series is probably just going to drive you insane.

Probably didn't help that I couldn't put it down...

I hope this isn't the end of the stories set in this world. But if it is, it ended appropriately
