I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Delaney is from Savannah Georgia. Having recently turned 18, she is the "Hot Alpha Girl" of her small group of close friends. Self proclaimed daddy's girl, she usually gets her way. She's adapted to that life...rich, privileged. She's more than that though. She's smart and it bothers her that she's had to dumb down herself to fit in. Delaney isn't living life truly as herself. She's had to make drastic changes just to fit in. Darios is a well known assassin affiliated with the Georgian Mafia. He has had a rough start in life, that he has worked hard to change. In addition to being a skilled hitman, Darios is also a kidnapper for ransom. These two are about to cross paths, but not necessarily by chance. Delaney's parents are planning a trip to Europe. Delaney encourages them to go on ahead without her. She will be along soon. She has plans of her own that involve her friends. Soon they meet a young man in Spain who invites them to a party. At this party Delaney meets Darios, and her nightmare begins. Delaney is torn between feelings of terror and lust for her captor. Darios is more about the lust. Darios underestimates Delaney, but this intrigues him also. Not only is she beautiful, but Delaney is smarter than he expected. He's used to dealing with girls who are terrified and compliant. Delaney? Not so much. Soon they become close...intimate. Delaney is his captive. He's holding her for ransom. What is his endgame? Happily ever after? Best to collect on her and move on. What started out as a kidnap for ransom, turned into something resembling protection detail. THIS WAS ONE WILD RIDE ! AWESOME STORYLINE ! ACTION PACKED ! Delaney has spent the last six of her eighteen years being what society what's her to be, hidden is her true self. Desperate to be a little true to herself she arranges a secret trip with friends, but not everything goes as planned. Delaney meets Darios, he's older darker and a man she can't manipulate, and he's a challenge for someone that's not accustomed to failure. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

If you're an avid reader of The Hitman series, do yourself a favor and get this book. Darios is a hard man with a war-torn soul. He and his men make a living by ransoming unharmed young Americans back to their wealthy parents. Delaney is a brilliant woman that has been taught beauty can get you more than brains. What do they have in common? Both are stubborn and determined and also very passionate when it comes to each other. I loved it.
