She’s the one he left behind.

Willow James, athletic trainer for the Miami Thunder football team, knows abandonment and hurt. A child of foster care, she’s been moved around and left behind more times than she cares to count. Just when she was starting to let her guard down with Braden Prescott, he left for a two year stint with Doctors Without Borders. Now he’s back.

Dr. Braden Prescott always felt like an outsider in his family of professional sports players. He’s traveled the world and is better for it, but now he’s home with a job for the Miami Thunder. When he comes face to face with the woman he left behind, their chemistry still smolders. She’ll give him her body again but not her heart.

He knows leaving her once was the biggest mistake of his life. Can Willow learn to trust him not to leave, especially when adventure comes calling again?

Dare to Stay is a fast-paced, absorbing second chance romance between returning doctor Braden Prescott and athletic trainer for the Miami Thunder Willow James. And with a satisfying mix of old and new characters, heat, sweetness and angst. Thanks to Willow's childhood in foster care and Braden's issues with his father Jesse. This was an enjoyable and engaging story, and for the couple of hours it took to read I was pretty much hooked. Which is why I would happily recommend it to others, even if you've not read the earlier books in the series, as Dare to Stay can easily be read as a stand alone. **I was kindly provided with an ARC via BookSprout in exchange for an honest review**

***4 Stars*** This was a quick, fun, flirty read with a lot of heart and a couple of twists that I didn’t see coming and definitely have me looking forward to what’s coming up next from this author! Braden has intrigued me from the start of this series because he is the “black sheep” of the family, and while he may not have followed in his siblings footsteps, he is just as passionate and determined when it comes to his chosen career. He’s sweet, stubborn and compassionate. I really liked Willow. She’s sweet, sassy and even though she does tend to keep people at arms length, there is a warmth to her that draws you in. Their second chance journey was a fun one ~ frustrating at times ~ but still fun as Braden came up with a couple of creative ways to get Willow to spend time with him so they could have the chance to work things out. Their bantering was a lot of fun, the chemistry between them hard to miss and I liked how they both came to the realization that they both could have handled their initial “split” better. The bumps in their road were quite interesting and I liked how everything worked out for them in the end. This was a fun read and a great addition to the Dare world ~ which is huge. Now we wait on Bri to fall and a what looks like a whole new family to love on in the future! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~

This is book #4, in the Dare Nation series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order. Braden knew coming home would have its challenges. Having been abroad for two years working with Doctors Without Borders, moving home was going to be difficult. Little did he know it feel the same as soon as his arms were around a certain someone....... Willow has trust issues that stem from a childhood inside the foster system. She said goodbye to Braden when he left and never looked back. To trust him again would not only be foolish, but could rally lay her out flat. Does she dare to confront the feelings that are still there between them? This book started off the ground running. I loved each page, and eagerly turned to read on. These characters were so easy to root for. They genuinely seem to really care for one another and their story feels very solid and pace was just right on. I feel like this is the authors best work so far. ***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.
