Psst! It's true! This is the best book on life before dinosaurs you'll ever read!
Bugs that catch mud. Fish with teeth on the outside. Beasts with blades like steak knives on their backs. Scorpion look-alikes two metres long. Can they be real? In the long-ago days before the dinosaurs, there were some seriously weird creatures living on Earth. Fossil hunters (who are probably weird themselves) find remains of these animals in ancient rocks and work out which were the hunters or the hunted. One scientist even used a fossil trilobite to spy on the FBI.
