Ratings and reviews

Yes, its cheesy and has little to nothing to do with the episode that inspired it, but it is a cute little story. Its meant to read like a 1930s detective novel by River Song, so yes its lame, and yes Melody Malone is a little too obsessed with herself, but what did u expect from River when she's trying to fill a role? I've read other Doctor Who novels by Justin Richards and so far, I've been pleased with all of them, as he really manages to capture the voices of the characters as they are on TV.

You can't help but read this in the voice of River Song/Melody Pond. Interesting read, has the River humour and attitude. Sadly not entirely related to the actual episode but worth the few dollars it costs as a standalone story.

This is an awesome book. Clearly intended for the grown ups of the audience, but I guess that's to expected when its written from Melody's perspective. The only thing I don't like is that there was no message from Amelia on the last page. :(
