Miltiadis D. Lytras is a visiting researcher at Effat University. Dr Lytras is a world-class expert in the fields of cognitive computing, information systems, technology-enabled innovation, social networks, computers in human behavior, and knowledge management. He is an expert in advanced computer science and management, editor, lecturer, and research consultant, with extensive experience in academia and the business sector in Europe and Asia. He served as the Editor in Chief of the International Journal in Semantic Web and Information Systems. He has co-edited more than 110 high impact factor special issues in ISI/Scopus indexed journals and co-Edited/Authored more than 80 books in international publishers including Elsevier, Emerald, IGI-Global, Springer, etc. Dr Lytras has co-authored more than 120 high impact factor papers in Q1 and Q2, Web of Science and Scopus indexed Journals. Dr. Lytras has a 25 years’ experience on Research and Development projects and grants with significant skills and competencies to the successful conceptualization, financing and implementation of R&D projects with extensive experience in Europe, Middle East, and Far East. He has involved in more than 70 R&D projects overtime. Robert D. Tennyson is currently a Professor of Educational Psychology and Technology in the Learning and Cognition, at the University of Minnesota. In addition to his faculty position, he is also the Program Coordinator for Psychological Foundations of Education. His published works range from basic theoretical articles on human learning, to applied books on instructional design and technology. He is editor of the scientific journal, Computers in Human Behavior, published by Elsevier Science which is now in its 17th year, as well as serving on several editorial boards for professional journals.
His research and publications include topics such as cognitive learning and complex cognitive processes, intelligent systems, complex-dynamic simulations, testing and measurement, instructional design, and advanced learning technologies. At the present time, he is working with a German colleague on basic research in learning complex-advanced knowledge.
His international activities include directing a NATO-sponsored Advanced Research workshop (Barcelona) and a NATO Advanced Study Institute (Grimstad, Norway)—both on the topic of Automated Instructional Design and Delivery. He has recently directed an institute on technology in Athens and Kuala Lumpur. His other international activities include twice receiving a Fulbright Research Award to Germany and once to Russia. His teaching interests include psychology of learning, technology-based systems design, evaluation, and management systems.
Jose Emilio Labra Gayo obtained his PhD. in Computer Science Engineering in 2001 at the University of Oviedo with distinction. Since 2004, he is the Dean of the School of Computer Science Engineering at the University of Oviedo and he is also the main researcher of the Semantic Web research group WESO. The group collaborates is focused on practical applications of semantic web and linked open data and has been involved in several projects with industrial partners and public administrations. Apart of teaching in the University of Oviedo, He has been regularly invited to teach in several doctorate or postgraduate courses in the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, in Chile, or the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, in Madrid, Spain. His research interests are Semantic Web technologies, Programming Languages and Web Engineering, where he has published a number of papers in selected conferences and journals. He participates in several committees like the European Semantic Web Conference, the International Conference on Web Engineering or the International Workshop on Social Data on the Web. [Editor]
