"The last report on the administration of Small Holdings Acts (dealing with the provision of small holdings as distinct from allotments) is for the year 1914 (Cd. 7851 for 1915). The preparation of annual reports was suspended during the War. Since this report, two special reports have been issued. The first entitled "Report on the working of small holdings acquired under the Small Holdings and Allotments Act, 1908", Cd. 9203, 1918 and the second report entitled "The present position and future prospects of ex-service men settled on the land in England and Wales", 1923. With the exception of these two reports no consecutive account had been published since 1915 of the provision of small holdings. The object of this report is to fill that gap. The report deals with the progress made under the Land Settlement (Facilities) Act, 1919 up to the 31st December, 1924"--Scope of the report.
