About this ebook

I never thought I’d see her again.

We shared one hot night together back in college before our paths took us in different directions.

But now, the most brilliant and beautiful woman I’ve ever met is back in my life. And the chemistry I remember? It’s more combustible than ever.

Except…our fling is forbidden and must exist only in secret. Her rules, not mine.

I can’t be her forever. I’m not that guy, and even she knows it.

But I can’t stay away from her either. I’m determined to claim not just her body but her heart, even if that’s the one thing she’s vowed not to give me.

A sweet and bananas-sexy hockey romance you do not want to miss! Grab this sizzling standalone today from New York Times bestselling author, Kendall Ryan and you’ll automatically get a FREE bonus scene in his point of view that you won’t want to miss!

3⭐️⭐️⭐️ Style: Contemporary Romance Story: 3/5 Enjoyment: 3/5 Dark Level: 0/5 Sexual Level: OK-GOOD Triggers: No Violence: No Male: Sexy and Protective Series: Book 1 Pages: loc. 3263 Audio: N/A Kindle Unlimited: No STORY: This for me was a likable story. I enjoyed both characters, especially Holt. Although, I like the story and I thought it was a sweet second chance romance; it didn’t blow me away. I liked that the story took us from that particular moment from their college years, bringing us to 6 years later. Holt for me was everything. He struggles to play it cool while still pining for Eden. He never thought he was good enough as he isn’t from money. Eden remembers Holt and tries to keep her distance at first while dealing with the stress of becoming the youngest person to own a sports team, but she finally gives in to Holt. I would say this was a sports adjacent romance. It’s not hardcore sports romance as Holt isn’t a player. CHEMISTRY: Holt’s and Eden’s physical chemistry is likable. I would have liked a little more at certain scenes, however, I was still satisfied. SECONDARY CHARACTERS It was interesting getting to see some team players. I see the next book in the series will be Alex and Aspen. Alex is Eden’s ex, and I wasn’t a fan so let’s see and Aspen, Eden’s assistant. Aspen didn’t have a major role, so I know little about her. Overall, a likable and sweet second chance at romance book and looking forward to seeing where this series goes. ***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful. This is book one in the series Looking to Score. I enjoyed reading this second chance at a HEA between Holt and Eden. These two characters shared a night a few years back and fate is bringing them back together again. Eden's grandfather passed and leaves her his hockey team with Holt as Head of Security. The flame is still smoldering, one of these encounters, it will ignite. Enjoy! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I'm not sure how I feel about this story. It was entertaining and there are many enjoyable parts. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Holt deserved to be someone's number one choice. That is my issue with this story. Eden wanted Alex the whole time. She wanted to be with Alex in college but since he was busy getting a bj from someone else, she settles for having sex with Holt. She then leaves Holt and leaves him a note saying it was a mistake and goes back to chasing after Alex. They are together for years. Alex leaves her so she settles for Holt. I felt like if Alex said babe, I want to give it another try, she would have dropped Holt and gone running back to Alex. Personally, I would rather be alone than be someone's second choice or to have someone settle for being with me when they'd rather be with someone else. I was glad that Holt got his happy ever after. I recommend giving this book a chance, you may like it more than I did. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
