Rena Fruchter is the author of two critically acclaimed books-"Dudley Moore: An Intimate Portrait", and "I’m Chevy Chase-and you’re not". In her new book, "The Orchestra Murders-A Cynthia Masters Mystery", she calls upon her intimate knowledge of the high-profile world of classical music. Ms. Fruchter is a concert pianist, writer and educator and for twelve years was a music columnist for the New York Times. Rena made her solo debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of six, and has toured internationally as a pianist. She holds a B.A. degree in music from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and holds a postgraduate Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music in London, England. As a concert pianist, she toured internationally with duo-piano partner Dudley Moore. Ms. Fruchter is cofounder and artistic director of Music For All Seasons, an organization that presents musical programs for people confined in all types of institutions, and special programs for the military. She is CEO of Martine Avenue Productions. Rena lives in New Jersey with her husband, Brian Dallow, and they are the parents of four adult children, including a set of triplets.
