About the author

Valerie Pereira is a Senior Executive in the Corporate Communications Department at School of the Arts Singapore. She is one of the authors of Go Shanti Go, a picture book she wrote with her sisters to encourage children to dream big. She is also the author of Stars on Orchard Road, a picture book that is part of a series on how children celebrate different religious festivals in Singapore. Dragons in Chinatown is inspired by family traditions.


Kwee Eng Liau is an Early Childhood Educator and a self-taught illustrator. While pursuing a Bachelor degree in Architecture, she found her passion in figure drawing and story making. She enjoys reading picture books with her niece and traveling with her spouse. Dragons in Chinatown is her first picture book.
