Ruby is a waitress in a diner. One day Ransom walks in and spots her. He immediately packed up and moved there to at least be closer to her. He wants more but Ruby’s walls are tall and hard. Ruby wants to trust him but fears becoming like her mother. Ransom goes to great lengths to prove himself worthy. He walks her home every night and is polite and attentive. Ruby finally decides to do more with Ransom and he is over the moon. Until the next morning when he realizes that Ruby snuck out on him.

The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Ransom and Ruby. The story keeps us turning the pages with connection, denial, fears, determination and steam. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I loved Ruby and Ransom! Ruby fought their attraction out of fear but Ransom never gave up. So glad they got their HEA, definitely recommend!
