About this ebook

A new collection of delightfully macabre tales from a master of horror manga.

An old wooden mansion that turns on its inhabitants. A dissection class with a most unusual subject. A funeral where the dead are definitely not laid to rest. Ranging from the terrifying to the comedic, from the erotic to the loathsome, these stories showcase Junji Ito’s long-awaited return to the world of horror.

Once Again, Stone-cold as I am, I'm more Impressed than Scared, but even so the Creative process has driven Madness into Words of known Conlang of Disturbingly Uneligible Nightmares, the likes of which only few have Absconded from. Thank You, Friend, for your Fine addition of Coherent Chaos and Talent...

Junji Ito shows he can still make great horror using either his fantastic art, his fantastic writing, or both. He even shows how he can create great stories without relying on scares either visually or in storytelling. I didn't like the pacing of Futon, I also didn't like the story about the writer and the fan in general, but aside from those few complaints, this is a great read.

Junji Ito is the Japanese HP Lovecraft, a master of impossible, forever-seeing horror and macabre eroticism. A must-read for anyone who considers themselves a horror fan.
