The global bestseller and latest Robert Langdon novel from the author of The Da Vinci Code.

Robert Langdon, Harvard professor of symbology and religious iconology, arrives at the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao to attend the unveiling of an astonishing scientific breakthrough. The evening’s host is billionaire Edmond Kirsch, a futurist whose dazzling high-tech inventions and audacious predictions have made him a controversial figure around the world.

But Langdon and several hundred guests are left reeling when the meticulously orchestrated evening is suddenly blown apart. There is a real danger that Kirsch’s precious discovery may be lost in the ensuing chaos. With his life under threat, Langdon is forced into a desperate bid to escape Bilbao, taking with him the museum’s director, Ambra Vidal. Together they flee to Barcelona on a perilous quest to locate a cryptic password that will unlock Kirsch’s secret.

To evade a devious enemy who is one step ahead of them at every turn, Langdon and Vidal must navigate the labyrinthine passageways of extreme religion and hidden history. On a trail marked only by enigmatic symbols and elusive modern art, Langdon and Vidal will come face-to-face with a breathtaking truth that has remained buried – until now.

An absolute dud of a book. There are 2 things that were to be revealed. Both of them, turn out to be a known thing, which is unbelievable, as the revelations in a Dan Brown books are not that. Book fails as thriller and the only new thing that book reveals is about Modern Art in Spain (but that might be already known to Spanish people :( ). In short, worst Dan Brown book, that has advertisement (for God's sake) and failed Hollywood script (which he likes to aim for these days), as there is nothing interesting going on.

Another robert langdon story circling around art, artificial intelligence and religion. I personally found the book to be predictable to some extent and it failed to raise my heart beats as often as it's predecessors, i.e, The da vinci code and the lost symbol did. The story line is slow, not much riddles to be solved and except Winston's abilities I found nothing much to keep me captivated reading this book. I might have rated it much higher had it been some another writer, but my expectations with dan brown are much more and hence I am kind of disappointed having read this book.

A very interesting read. I don't mean to blame the book but through reading this book I decided to remove God from the equation of life. And to my surprise and benefit, a fog seemed to lift from my mind. Everything suddenly made sense. I guess I had always been a believer of a non-existent God, and this book reminded me of that. Dan Brown is an exceptional writer and I love his works. I've read all of his well-known books and I can't seem to get enough of his writing. Definitely worth the buy if you're into science and religion.
