This was a delightful read. The main character, Lydia, is so wacky, but I feel like there's a little bit of Lydia in every woman who loves to read romance. There are wonderful, strong female friendships, where the women really support and appreciate each other. There's a charming Cumbrian setting that makes me want to go there. I love how Lydia's love interest doesn't come into the story right at the start, and how there's a bit of a Wickham character in one of the men that she's briefly infatuated with. Her love interest is such a charming and romantic character and sweet and shy all at once. I hope I haven't given him away in this review. Curl up by a warm fire in winter, or on a towel on the beach, under an umbrella in summer and enjoy this book. You're in for a treat.
