As this book started out, I didn't think I would enjoy it. Jenn and her friend Lissa seemed self-absorbed career women who had reached a point in their lives where their ovaries had a sell by date and they had become overly judgemental regarding the qualities of the men willing to date them. Jenn's friend with benefits, Walker, played the situation with cool cynicism but he understood Jenn better than she knew herself. The story comes to a crisis that brought an end to Jenn's close friendship with Lissa and she is forced to become dependent on Walker. As the narrative develops, Jenn realises that she has been unfair in her assessment of Walker and both characters begin to emerge as thoroughly likeable people who have more depth than one at first thought. This book is really well written, enticing the reader from one scene to the next, drawing out emotions and feelings of tenderness towards the hurting couple. Having experienced Jenn's loss, I grieved with her and understood the need for closure. Walker's artistic personality with paint smeared shirts was a different take on romantic heroes, however he is what every woman longs for: protective, kind, understanding and ultimately sensitive by nature. Although I purchased this book a while back, I hadn't got around to reading it. However when I received a copy of this book from eBook Discovery I voluntarily posted this review. This is my honest review.

I love walker! It's definitely not a nice idea to under estimate people. The least one you expected could give you happiness.

It wasn't a good book. Maybe the next one.
