為提供國內民眾方便的交通資訊服務，本計畫之工作項目包括：一、以「都會區幹道即時交通資訊系統建置」在高雄市所開發之系統為基礎，檢討現有服務項目並新增其他查詢功能，包括路徑導引、修正路段速率推估模式、交通資訊現場設備配置檢討以及交通資訊XML發布機制改善等。二、以滿足2009年世界運動會之需求為目標，規劃高雄市區ITS發展策略，分為大眾運輸系統動態資訊、大眾運輸車隊管理、道路交通監控及交通資訊服務等4大項目，並規劃具體之執行方案。三、研發代理人(Agent)服務之智慧型手機與PDA資訊查詢雛形系統，開發個人資訊、交通資訊、比賽資訊與住宿資訊等查詢服務，以及飯店訂房、交通訂票、比賽訂票等預約服務，並提供中、英及日文等查詢網站。
