We all have demons. Our inner conflicts give birth to demons, and our dark thoughts feed them. Most of us can’t see them. The few who can are charged with battling these demons to save our very souls.
Paul has just become one of those people. He sees demons everywhere now, and his recently deceased best friend has returned to show him the path to battling them. Only instead of being an exciting new adventure, the whole experience has just left Paul feeling more confused than ever.
Now Paul must choose between deceiving his perfect love, or telling her he has a new job killing demons on the side. He has a ghost and a devil both advising him to keep it all secret; and like any good sane person, Paul is suspicious that his own hallucinations are only trying to ensure their own survival. Either he’s crazy, or fully responsible for every soul lost on his watch.
One way or the other, Paul will have to decide soon.
Jay Norry, aka J.K. Norry, is the multi-genre author of several books, many blog posts, and a few short stories.
He wrote his first book in his early twenties. After sitting on the manuscript for almost ten years, Stumbling Backasswards Into the Light was finally published via a small press in January 2012. Jay wrote his next book shortly after, and published Demons & Angels (Walking Between Worlds, Book I) through his own company (Sudden Insight Publishing) in December 2014.
Since then he's written a lot of books. And he doesn't seem to be able to stop.
It's not a bad problem to have.
Jay lives in the hottest part of Northern California with his wife Dawn and their furry little princess Ximena. While he spends most of his hours on the side porch writing books, he also enjoys ticking items off his unending to-do list, drinking good scotch, and dreaming up future home projects.
Jay invites one and all to join the Secret Society of Deeper Meaning; you'll get all kinds of perks, including a FREE weekly chapter from The Demon Be Damned (A Walking Between Worlds story). Sign up now at www.jaynorry.com
When Mother Nature calls, everyone must stop to listen. Humanity has finally gone too far, and incurred the wrath of the planet itself. Ramblers roam the earth, hungry and mindless, looking to eat or be eaten. Howlers hunt the humans, their superior strength becoming overwhelming odds as the zombie apocalypse spreads to every nation.
Will Mother Nature have mercy in the end? Or will everyone fall at the hands of The First Zombie?
In the Walking Between Worlds trilogy, the world of the Walker is finally revealed. Heroes that have lived in the shadows for thousands of years tell their stories at last, as a new story takes shape in present-day San Francisco. A new Walker is made that must undo centuries of damage as he risks everything in a desperate search for his lost love. One man must forge a path wide enough for everyone who walks between worlds, or see the way of the Walker lost forever.
The angels in heaven have capitalized on the situation rather than correct it, and the dragons in hell rule their realm with fire. Both forces stand against the Walker army as its new king is thrust into power and cast into danger time and again. From epic battles below to all-out war above, these brave patriots of the universe put everything on the line to save an unknowing world once more. If anyone can find a way, it is them...but time is running out, and the light is growing dim.

Fifteen years ago, in Mitch Albom’s beloved novel, The Five People You Meet in Heaven, the world fell in love with Eddie, a grizzled war veteran- turned-amusement park mechanic who died saving the life of a young girl named Annie. Eddie’s journey to heaven taught him that every life matters. Now, in this magical sequel, Mitch Albom reveals Annie’s story.
The accident that killed Eddie left an indelible mark on Annie. It took her left hand, which needed to be surgically reattached. Injured, scarred, and unable to remember why, Annie’s life is forever changed by a guilt-ravaged mother who whisks her away from the world she knew. Bullied by her peers and haunted by something she cannot recall, Annie struggles to find acceptance as she grows. When, as a young woman, she reconnects with Paulo, her childhood love, she believes she has finally found happiness.
As the novel opens, Annie is marrying Paulo. But when her wedding night day ends in an unimaginable accident, Annie finds herself on her own heavenly journey—and an inevitable reunion with Eddie, one of the five people who will show her how her life mattered in ways she could not have fathomed.
Poignant and beautiful, filled with unexpected twists, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven reminds us that not only does every life matter, but that every ending is also a beginning—we only need to open our eyes to see it.
