Looking for emotional. Evergreen Springs is definitely that. I felt so many things while reading this story. Compassion for all the pain Cole and his children were going through. Proud that Devin was a worthy female character determined enough to do battle with Cole. Lastly, Hope. The belief in miracles and having faith that good or bad things happen for a reason. Evergreen Springs is the belief that anything is possible: love, hope, understanding and healing. I received an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. A tearjerker that will leave you believing.

RaeAnne Thayne brings us another amazing story filled with characters that are real, flawed, and so very lovable. In this wonderfully crafted story we meet Cole Barrett. An Idaho rancher who is working hard to balance everything going on in his life. He has two young children who have only recently come to live with him, a ranch to run, and a very pregnant sister who has decided to leave her husband and come live with Cole. The last thing he has time for is trying to make this a Christmas to remember. Then he meets an angel. She comes in the form of Dr. Devin Shaw. When Cole's sister ends up in the hospital, Devin steps in to offer a helping hand. This Christmas turns out to be one none of them will soon forget. I highly recommend this book to everyone! This book is part of a series but it can easily be read standalone.

I have always loved RaeAnne Thayne's books and Evergreen Springs is no exception. It is a story about second chances and personal challenges and the story just brought tears to my eyes. Cole sure did not have it easy. An ex-rodeo cowboy and ex-con whose ex-wife had passed away and left 2 young kids in his care, Cole is struggling to hold everything together. Added on to his stress is his pregnant sister who had ran away from home and was living with him. He is hard on himself and feels that he does not deserve a chance to be happy. Devin herself has her own challenges which very few know. It is really touching to see them find their way together and I really love how RaeAnne shows to readers that love can overcome all challenges. Can't wait for the next Haven Point book.
