Another FANTASTIC book by Felicity! Felicity is one of the few authors I've stuck with for years, and whose books I will read without even knowing what they are about. I just know no matter the title, I'll need to buckle up because it's going to be a steamy, epic adventure! Suki was certainly an anomaly among the succubi, but I admired her moral compass and sense of duty to follow it, no matter what. I really enjoyed how she interacted with Teagan. Won't spoil it! Tegan was doing his best to be a progressive king for his realm, even though not many agreed with his vision. The kicker? Tegan never wanted to be king in the first place. So he, too, was struggling with his own moral compass and sense of duty, which made for an interesting parallel between him and Suki. True to form, the imagery Felicity writes is unlike any I have read, and I always feel that I can look around and actually SEE Tegan's castle or the bar Suki was hunting in. (That imagery tastefully expands to the love scenes, by the way!) It also describes the emotions of the characters so wonderfully that I know I'm feeling exactly what Felicity had intended. Bottom line, if you want to lose yourself in a smart, solid, well-written dark-ish smoking-hot otherworldly adventure, read any book by Felicity! (I was given this book in consideration of my honest thoughts)

I love this series and Teagan is one reason why. King he may be but he doesn't want it. Actually he wants nothing anymore not even women. Until... She has always believed there would never be a mate for her kind. Until... Him Loved the banter between Suki and Teagan, and the action is spot on in this story as is the heat between these two once they allow the fates to work it's magic.

Felicity did it again. I could not put this book down.
